Runaway Bay to Mandeville

 
 If you feel like travelling and seeing country Jamaica, a recommended journey is the drive from Runaway Bay to Mandeville. Upon arrrival in the busy town of Mandeville, you can visit the market and there is some excelent accommodation available if you wish to break your journey before continuing.  Dine in the finest hilltop restaurant or go bird watching.                                                    

 Roast Yam and Saltfish Joint
 
The countryside is stunning and when you feel a little hungry, what can be better than stopping by one of the roadside stalls for roast yam and saltfish, washed down with some refreshing local made jungle juice or  a cool Jamaica red stripe beer!!
  
 
 

                                                
Mandeville to Treasure Beach
 
This journey is another must if you wish to experience the real Jamaica.  Upon leaving Mandeville, you soon reach Spur Tree Hill with its panoramic views of the valley below which you will soon be decending into.  But first its time for an essential stop at the Jerk Cenre at the top of the hill.
 
 
 
 

Valley 
After some delicious jerk its time to drop down and drive across the valley below to the sea.  Treasure Beach is one of the hidden treasures of the island, with its quiet beaches and a hotel that exudes luxury.  You might want to stay here for the rest of your holiday!
 
 
 
                                                    

Bob Marley Tour
 
 Here is another must visit to the birth place and final resting place of Bob Marley.  Having driven through the country and up the hills from Runaway Bay, you eventually arrive at Nine Miles.  Here is the Mausoleum which you may touch and you tour the house touch his bed meet people he knew and you can sit on his stone.  If you are lucky you will be entertained and guided by the famous Captain Crazy!  You can dance to banjo music played by his uncle.
                                                

Dunns River Falls
 
 One of Jamaica's most famous attractions is Dunns River Falls just outside Ocho Rios.  Take your costume and be prepared for the climb up from the beach through all the waterfalls.
